About Dental Philanthropy Network
The American Society of Dental Foundation Executives (ASDFE) was established in 2001.In 2010, the ASDFE changed its name to the Dental Philanthropy Network. The DPN is a national association of dental fund-raising professionals and foundation officers and is classified as a 501c-6 tax exempt organization with the IRS. Through national and regional meetings, and web-based resources, DPN offers a variety of programs and services designed to:
- enhance members' professional development
- advance issues unique to their organizations and work
- share techniques, technologies and know-how
- create networking and mentoring opportunities
- promote ethical standards for the operation of philanthropic organizations and conduct of charitable solicitations
"Active Members" of DPN serve as executive-level staff of:
- national, state, regional and local dental organizations and foundations
- associations and foundations of recognized dental specialties and allied dental professions
- accredited dental schools
Active Member fees are $100 for one professional staff member and $75 for each additional member.
Associate Members provide administrative staff support to a dental foundation or accredited dental school development office. Associate Member fees are $50 per person.
Affiliate Members include individuals or corporations that provide a service or product to a dental foundation.
